With Microsoft starting out as a computer company this transition was only natural. Let’s take it in and think of the all the good that will come from both platforms.

I am sure I am not alone when saying that some games were designed for the platform it is being played on. The best example of this is the game genre of RTS. With the kind of mouse speeds and DPI and accuracy of mouse controls in today’s technology. Pc is the outright winner. The same can be said for the first-person shooter.

If you think about it there are already games that are available on multi-platforms thanks to Xbox game pass. Think of games like Forza horizon 4 where you are able to enjoy it on both platforms no matter your preference. I think this brings me to the important point of evening the playing field. I am not sure how the mapping of the keyboards and mouse settings will work but it is good news from users that wanted to play the above-mentioned games on a console. Now more than ever it is easier to lure ex pc players back to console gaming.

Some of the games that will feature this support are Fortnite, Warframe, Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade to name a few. Like the controllers, there will be alternatives to the original Xbox controllers. The same will apply for the keyboards and mouse as I am 100 % sure that Microsoft will launch their own exclusive hardware.

We are living in exciting times and we need to keep an open mind on how technology. I think this is only the beginning of how things will all be linked together. A sort of Skynet for gaming. Keep it real and remember “never stop bashing those buttons”.
