Just shy of 3 days since Black Ops 4 was released on the 12 November 2018 and already it has made its mark in the gaming world.

Let me start off by saying that when the news broke that Black Ops 4 would not have any single player campaign I was not a happy chappie. I loved the campaign in Black Ops 3, the story pulled me in and begged me to play just one more mission. An angelic voice would whisper, forget about sleeping it is not that important. Skygamer’s trio makes regular appearances in Black Ops 3 slaying it.

Yes, I know there have been many areas where the game stepped up to the next level. We did have a chance to play a fair chunk before launch day. I felt the rush of competing all over again. Blackout battle royal mode is extremely fun but will it be enough. I have never been a real fan of the zombie mode, to be frank. Call me crazy or insane but I will wait for a price drop and then slide it into my basket ( Black Friday anyone ) Looking at some numbers there is a lot to be happy about.

PlayStation is thanking the gaming gods for Black Ops 4. It has taken the throne of the fastest selling digital game ever. Over at Xbox One, it set the record for most downloads for Activision. Team PC was not left in the dark either. With Black Ops 4 now being released as part of Blizzard’s battle.net. Previously this was reserved for steam. It doubled their digital sales compared to WWII. If that was not enough Activision states more people have played Black Ops 4 than WWII launch day – Wow.

Time will tell if it will be the best-selling Call of Duty Game in history. If the opening has anything to go by it looks like an Avengers onslaught. The developers have been hard at work and with good sales, let’s hope everyone gets a slice of the money pie. Keep it real and remember “never stop bashing those buttons”
