If you are like me and grew up with games, albeit arcades it was part of growing up. Does gamin change your brain, is it good or bad – let’s find out

These were real-world results as part of the test that was conducted. It features a pro gamer and a normal casual game.

The one everyone is familiar is that it gives you better reaction times. Step up to the cognitive challenge board. There were three games in total, the first is a board with light that lights up and you need to press them as they light up. The second test is a screen depicting a green and red button. Your job is to press the green button while an audio voice tells you to stop all the time. The last test is to track various objects and follow them among other, kind of like the magic trick with the three cards

The result speaks for themselves, the non-gamer scored in the lower 60 % while the gamer scored in the 90 %. So this proves the fact that yes genetics gives you a good start but practise is the key in anything you do. What was interesting is that the more complex the task the better the gamer did at ignoring the distinctions. On the other hand, a pro gamers wouldn’t necessarily have skills like motor skill like catching a ball or pitching in a sport like baseball.

The best way to improve ad hone in on the skills is to actually play in shorten burst instead of one long block of gaming. This is serious business, the FDA has busy running trials on a game that might someday be used to treat people with ADHD. Like anything in life you need to moderate the intake otherwise, it will lead to injury. Injury from gaming , yes tendinitis in the thumb , back problems , sore neck and shoulders.

The big question is does games destroy your brain…. Science say no. Keep it real and remember “never stop bashing those buttons”.
