It feels like a parallel universe. For the first time in 25 odd years, Sony PlayStation will not attend E3 2019. Let find out what is the chicken is going on.
Sony has confirmed that they will not take part in next years E3 event. According to their press release they want to focus on other avenues to connect to their fans and community. The details of this new venture are not yet known but we will keep you updated. They irritated that it is very important to connect and engage with their fans and will find exciting ways of doing this in the future.
The more bad news is on the horizon is that Sony PlayStation will also not host their annual PlayStation experience in December 2018. According to Sony interactive studios, they feel there will not be enough new content to justify a proper experience. I do understand the reasoning for canceling an event but feel an online stream of some sorts would be a good replacement.
I leave you with this parting thought, to me it seems that Sony is putting all its time and resources into PlayStation 5. Keep it real and remember “never stop bashing those buttons”.
