News has broken out about the BlackOps 4 Day 1 Patch which might be a bit much for some.  Details on the full story revealed after the short break.

I will be the first to admit that I am not a fan of Call of Duty Black Ops 4.  In fact, I’m one of those who enjoyed dabbling in CoD campaigns and its removal for this iteration, was a deal breaker for me.  That being said, I had the opportunity to play BlackOps 4 at rAge Expo 2018.  It was gloriously fun.  Completely unexpected.  Treyarch nailed the gameplay.  Unfortunately, I have to be the bearer of bad news to fans.  We have confirmations of BlackOps 4 Day 1 Patch and this will hurt, a lot.

So we’re going to treat this like pulling a band-aid off quickly to get it over and done with.  Brace yourself.  Call of Duty BlackOps 4 Day 1 Patch is sitting at a humongous 50 GB.  Since this is an online Multiplayer only game, you will not be able to play the game at all without first downloading this game sized patch.  Honestly, I had to read the report multiple times to make sure I was reading it correctly.  There are no details available currently to explain why Day 1 Patch is so huge.

Perhaps Treyarch couldn’t fit all the required data for the game on one Disc, leaving the only option to be to get gamers to download the rest through a day one patch.  A 50 GB, Mandatory Day One Patch.  This is probably a new record for a patch size.  So what do you guys think of this patch’s ridiculously large size?  Specifically, those who are buying the game and might be on a very limited data package.  Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.  As always, keep it locked to SkyGamers.
