It’s been confirmed that the long awaited feature is finally heading to a PS4 near you. That’s right folks, PS4 getting external HDD support is really happening. Annoyingly for PS4 fans, Xbox One has had this feature since day one. The only way to increase the paltry 500GB of the stock drive was to invest in a 9mm 2.5″ drive. Year after year, fans pleaded with Sony to add external Hard Drive support. Sony has finally listened to its fans. The release of Firmware 4.5 will included the above feature.
I’m super glad as my Xbox One has an external 1 TB attached to it. I wanted the same for my Ps4 Pro. I replaced its HDD with a 2TB drive that now only has 120GB of free space.
