Metro Exodus Not Heading to Steam on PC
Well this is awkward. PC gamers looking forward to Metro Exodus are in for a shocking surprise. The game will not be making it to Steam Store. No Really!
The mighty Steam store gets a bit of a bloodied nose from this one. If you were excited about getting your hands on Metro Exodus on PC from Steam, you’re in for a shocking reality check. Deep Silver, the publisher of the upcoming title, has confirmed the game will not be heading to Steam. However, fear not PCMR gamers you will still be getting your hands on the game.
The game will instead be releasing on Epic’ new Game Store exclusively for the PC platform.
Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Deep Silver, quoted:
“We are excited to partner with Epic to bring the digital version of Metro Exodus to market. The generous terms and conditions of Epic will allow publishers to invest more in creating content or benefiting players. By teaming up with Epic, we will be able to invest more in Metro’s future and in our ongoing partnership with the developer of the series, 4A Games, for the benefit of fans of the game. “
That being said, this is only a launch exclusivity deal and will eventually be heading to Steam sometime in the future. Metro Exodus will be releasing on PC (Epic Game Store), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 15th February 2019.
