I am not sure if you are aware but diablo immortal debacle made headlines as one of the top 5 most hated videos on YouTube. Can Diablo 4 redeem Blizzard.
There have been lost of whispers of Diablo 4 from various blizzard programmers. There was discussion of bringing a new expansion after the reaper of souls. It seems that this was halted as focus was shifted to code name Fenris ( aka Diablo 4 ). From what we know so far it is going back to it’s roots.
The new tagline is “embrace the darkness”. All data points to an isometric camera system rather than the third person camera view. They are taking inspiration from Diablo 2. They want it to be darker and also go back to that style of graphics. There are also roomers that there would be some Destiny elements in the game as well. I feel that this would be a step in the wrong direction.
Apparently, there was talk of revealing some kind of trailer and game-play but the team felt the game was not entirely ready. Again, this is a good thing just look at Battlefield 5 that is riddles with bugs and well as mission you are not able to access. I still feel that their focus is split and it seems rumors are rive that game developers are leaving the studio.
Diablo 4 is set to be released in 2020 or maybe earlier. It is not clear if it will debut first on PC and then get multi platform releases at a later date. I for one am hoping that this game will take my breath away. As great as Diablo3 is now with themed season, it feels a bit stale. Keep it real and remember “never stop bashing those buttons”.
