As long as mankind has been in existence we have been at war. PlayStation and Microsoft have their own digital war but who is the champion.

I am not going to bore you with all the technical jargon. There are two main hardware differences. In the blue corner we have VR and in the green corner, we have slick 4K resolution thanks to the upgraded memory. Regardless of the technical specifications when all is said and done it is about the gaming, right.

I am not including VR titles into this article because of the lack of hardware in the green corner. For most people who are buying consoles do so based on what they grew up with or fell in love with. With exclusive titles from both houses, I find myself emotionally torn at times. Having owned one of each stable before I cannot help but long for the experience if only my wallet agreed.

Case in point is my favorite gaming genre, racing games. On PlayStation, you have Grand Turismo Sport, the godfather of racing simulations. Microsoft brings you Forza 7 and Forza Horizon.  Both have their weakness and strengths but I am not able to judge for myself. Thank the gaming gods for Need for Speed and Projects Cars 2 giving me the options. There are a couple of other examples like Uncharted and Gears of ware respectively.

Looking at the numbers alone PlayStation has more exclusive titles. With Black Friday looming there will be great specials from both studios to wet your appetite. My advice to you is rather than upgrade your existing console, use the money to buy the other one and have the best of both worlds.
