In this brand new segment, we take a peek behind the scenes.  See what games we play when we’re not getting the latest news or previewing/reviewing titles.  The results are somewhat interesting.

Our guys over here at SkyGamers live and breathe gaming.  So even when we not busy with our favourite-est  job in the world, we’re still gaming in our downtime.  What can I say, we probably dream in game engine too!  So the guys are gonna share with the world just what games we’re busy burning our free time on.  And its not entirely what you think!

Samuel T.  –  Sunset Overdrive (Xbox One)

4th wall breaking, self-ridiculing, mutant murdering mayhem at its best

4th wall breaking, genre-ridiculing, mutant murdering mayhem at its best

Since I’m between games right now and wanted to take a break from The Division.  Figured I give this Xbox One exclusive, and Games with Gold freebie, a good play through and see what’s what!  The crazy thing is, underneath the genre-tropes-bashing, the self-referential lunacy, the 4th wall breaking, dumb plot writing, over the top mechanics,  lies one heck of a fun game.  It takes everything you love about shooters and throws it out the window in the name of pure fun.  Sure, at times it gets stuck with the very same tropes its making fun of.  This game is at its best when it lets you loose on the game world and you go completely buck-wild!  If you haven’t played this game and you have an Xbox Gold Membership, there’s still time, grab it and enjoy the craziness.

Alfred A.  –  Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection (PlayStation 4)

The game that is currently loaded into my PS4 is Uncharted The Nathan Drake collection. In anticipation for Uncharted 4 I have decided to give 1 to 3 a bash to psych myself up for Uncharted 4. Its also nice to see how the game has progressed with regards to graphics, gameplay and over all Epic-ness from 1 to 3.  Lets hope 4 lives up to its predecessors.  Check out the ratings each previous game got:

Uncharted 1: Drake’s Fortune
9,1/10 IGN.com
4,5/5 Metacritic
4/5 Common Sense Media
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
9,5/10 IGN.com
5/5 Metacritic
5/5 Common Sense Media
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
10/10 IGN.com
4,5/5 Metacritic
5/5 Common Sense Media
Lets see how well Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will do! [Editor: Saw this game coming a mile away]

Riaan G.  –  Clash of Clans (iOS, Android)

The Greatest Time Vacuum of them all

The Greatest Time Vacuum of them all

To war clashers….
If you have never heard of this game then you are most probably living in a “ village “.  This popular multiplayer game is very addictive, graphics is polished and game play is simple yet requires some planning.  Updates keep things fresh with new units and building changes requiring you to adapt to new scenario’s.  Creating a clan or going at it alone it is uninterrupted fun. [Editor: Really Riaan???]

Well there you have it!  How about we flip the tables around and you guys share with us in the comments what games you’re sinking your time into.  Keep it locked to SkyGamers.  Happy Gaming!
