We share all the details of Microsoft’s Presentation.  In a word, Microsoft nailed it.  Here’s the full Xbox E3 Briefing Recap.  Let’s Jump In!

I gotta say, Microsoft really brought their best foot forward with this year’s briefing.  I actually enjoyed it and there never seems to be a dull moment unlike some other briefing we saw (cough…EA..Cough).  They understood their lack of exclusives and even though they didn’t remedy that problem outright, they have invested in new studios to ensure the future has exactly that, first party exclusives.  So well done Microsoft, I think when all is said and done, you nailed it.  In cased you missed it, here’s the recap of the briefing.

Halo Infinite

I gotta say, I nailed this prediction on the head.  Microsoft kicked off the festivities with the big one.  They showed off a teaser trailer for Halo 6 which is officially titled Halo Infinite.  It was short and sweet and seems to be running in-engine.  It looks like a brand new engine and 343 could possibly have dumped the previous one.  Can’t wait to get more details on this game.  Fingers crossed its a return to form for Halo games.  By the way, Master Chief is back!

Ori and the Will of Wisps

What a gorgeously beautiful game this is.  The more I see it, the more it’s so awesome to behold.  Microsoft showed off the a gameplay trailer that just blew everyone away.  And this is an Xbox exclusive.

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice

A brand new IP got its world premiere showed off at Microsoft’s stage.  No, it’s not an exclusive, but it looks pretty darn good none the less.   We got to see the game’s in-engine gameplay.  Best way to describe it is a cross between Dark Souls and Nioh with a more fast-paced, Ninja Gaiden vibe.  Can’t wait to hear more about this one.

Fallout 76

Just before a new trailer for the upcoming Fallout 76, Microsoft announced an awesome piece of news.  Fallout 4 is now available in Xbox Game Pass.  We immediately jump into a brand new story trailer for the gorgeous looking Fallout 76.  Not much else is revealed about the game besides the map size that appears to be 4 times the size of Fallout 4.  We also know it takes place before all the Fallout games, more details follow at Bethesda’s Briefing.

Captian Spirit

An absolute heartfelt story that takes place in the Life is Strange universe.  Microsoft showed off another world premiere (you’re going to be reading this a lot, You’ve been warned) for this multiplatform game.  It’s sweet and has the same visual look as Life is Strange.  The game is a free download from 26 June 2018.  With such a low low price of nothing, might be worth a look.

Crackdown 3

Yep, I didn’t think this would make a showing and I couldn’t be more wrong.  Strangely enough, the new trailer showed off actually looks like the game visuals have been drastically improved.  Crackdown 3 will be releasing in February 2019.  Another piece of news that comes out later in the show is that the game will be available on Game Pass Day One!

Metro Exodus

The more of Metro Exodus I see, the more I need to be playing this game.  Microsoft showed off a brand new gameplay story trailer for the upcoming sequel to Metro series.  It’s absolutely gorgeous and will obviously be best played on Xbox One X hardware (because I had to drop that in there for no reason).  Metro Exodus will be releasing on 22nd February 2019.

Kingdom Hearts 3

That’s right folks, Kingdom Hearts 3 will be heading to an Xbox One near you sooner than you think.  Some new worlds have been introduced including Frozen, Wreck it Ralph, Tangled, and Toy Story in the new gameplay trailer.  This stunning looking game will be releasing on January 29, 2019.

Quickfire teaser trailers (Sea of Thieves DLC/Battlefield V)

Sea of Thieves players will be glad to know that 2 new expansions will be heading your way.  First titled Cursed Sails followed by the second titled Forsaken Shores.  Not many details were revealed beyond that.  This teaser was followed by yet another in the form of Battlefield V War Story snippet.  Honestly, I was expecting more from DICE as they promised to show more at Xbox’s briefing.  You blink and you would’ve missed it.

Forza Horizon 4

The only thing the leaks got right was the name.  Everything else is completely different.  Forza Horizon 4 got a massive blowout unlike anything seen before at E3 2018 so far.  The game looks absolutely gorgeous in 4K and will now run at 60 Frames per second.  The setting is in Brittain this year.  The game also includes dynamic season changes.  That affects the look and feel of the game world.  In addition to that, the seasons are synced for all players, did I mention every onscreen player is now an actual player in the game world.  Yep, Forza is now a shared world racer.  The game will be releasing on October 2nd, 2019 and will be on Game Pass Day One.  And with that being said, I guess I’ll be keeping my Game Pass subscription.  I’m Sold!

New Studios Acquired by MicroSoft

Microsoft announced that they have acquired 5 new studios into Microsoft Game Studios.  This includes The Initiative Studio that just got announced, Undead labs (State of Decay 2 studio), PlayGround Games,  Ninja Theory and Compulsion Games also acquired.  This is a great first step in ensuring more first party exclusives for the future of the platform.

Even More Teaser Trailers

Microsoft then dropped back to back Trailers of We Happy Few which will be releasing soon on August 10, 2019.  Followed by more PUBG, because if you got it why not flaunt it.  With a Winter 2018 release date and added modes and Maps.  And a World Premiere of JRPG Tales of Vesperia.

The Division 2

The Division 2 gets officially announced.  It looks absolutely stunning.  We have a new Washington DC setting.  Improved Snowdrop game engine.  Improved AR Map.  We’re showed some new gadgets.  Milk carton falling off table is the new “Car Door Closing” moment.  The game will be releasing on March 15, 2019.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

After a montage of all the ID@Xbox games releasing soon (honestly, the list was too large for me to get them all), we finally get to see some Shadow of the Tomb Raider Gameplay.  Trailer, Gameplay Trailer I meant to say.  It still looks fantastic and is one of the titles I’m truly excited about.  Should look phenomenal on Xbox One X like its predecessor did.  The best news is that it’s launching very soon.  You’ll experience the new adventure on September 14, 2018.

Devil May Cry 5

After a short new skate boarding exclusive teaser Session and new Exclusive MMO RPG Black Dessert teaser trailer, we get this.  Devil May Cry 5.  It’s back and going to its roots.  Looking rather sharp and fast-paced as we love it.  Dante now has an awesome Cybernetic arm that makes him that much more of a badass than he already is.  Can’t wait to get more details about this game.

Gears 5

Gears 5 is coming. This time you take control of the female protagonist of Gears 4, Kate. We got a lot of story dialogue, leaning the game towards a more emotional serious tone. We also got to see a bit of game play. The game is shaping up to be a massive improvement over the last entry in every way.

Cyberpunk 2077

Holy smokes this is it. The actual reveal we’ve all been waiting for. The crowds went completely bananas when this one was shown. Cyberpunk 2077 got an in-engine reveal where we get to see this amazing world realized. No gameplay was shown but at least we finally got to see this amazing world CD Projekt Red has crafted. A looking to be an even bigger smash hit than Witcher 3. Please give me more, I need more of this game! It’s going to be a long wait until it’s release.

And that’s all Microsoft had to offer.  It was a packed showing full of awesome game announcements and a potential turn around for Microsoft.  Stay tuned to SkyGamers for more E3 2018 coverage.
