With the eagerly awaited release of Assasins Creed Origins fast approaching, more details about the game are making the rounds online. The latest bit of news has to do with the game download size. Assasins Creed Origins file size has been confirmed to be 42.3 GB on Xbox One. It’s really not that bad. Remember Gears of War 4, that sits at around 100GB so 42GB is really surprising. Remember this is a true next-gen open world game with some rather breathtaking attention to detail. The fact that they were able to squeeze that entire gameworld into 42GB is shocking.
However, there is one catch. That file size is not taking into account the potential Xbox One X 4K textures. Those might add a bit more meat to the download. Ubisoft hasn’t released the details of that at the time of writing. We’ll keep our ears to the ground for more news on that front. In the meantime, might be a good idea to start making space on your console as there’s a ton of games coming this holiday season.
