Xbox One X came out guns blazing stating that it would be the most uncompromising console on the market. A year down the line has Microsoft dominated.

When the news broke that there would be a new console from Microsoft they were shooting for the start. However, many feel that they fell short of the promise with regards to a proper 4K experience. We did see downscaling of some games to keep the 60 fps amongst the selling jargon we were given. Bank for buck Xbox One X is the most affordable way to step into 4K Gaming. When you are spending the kind of money on 4K Qled tv you want the console that delivers the best visuals.

People need to remember that the console only makes a small part of the package. You need a 4K tv to take advantage of the hardware. Speaking of hardware there is no doubt that some franchise games take advantage of the hardware. Games like the Tomb Raider series just shines on Xbox One X compared to other alternatives.

Microsoft has made very smart decisions in particular to the backward compatibility. They keep updating the roster of 360 games that are available on the One X. Not only can you play them but they look amazing this time around. Take this in you can still use your 360 disks on your One X, image that. I hope that Microsoft will keep this trend when scarlet comes out.

Many people are very happy with their purchase and I feel that a year on it is still best console out there right now. As technology keeps evolving, I hope that it will not become an outright competition. Keep it real and remember “never stop bashing those buttons”.
