Halo 5 isn’t the only one getting some One X love. 343 Industries have confirmed that Halo The Master Chief Collection X upgrades are on the cards. John would be proud.
Xbox One X is boasting a huge collection of games that are confirmed to receive the upgrade treatment. First, the exciting news that Halo 5 would be getting native 4K 60 FPS upgrade. However, there was one flagship title that was missing from all the 4K talks. Until now! 343 Industries has confirmed that Halo The Master Chief Collection X upgrades are definitely coming. I’ll be the first to admit it, MCC released as a huge buggy multiplayer mess. The game might have shipped with all Halo DLC to date, but good luck getting into any match at all. With that being said, that was the least of my worries as I didn’t really buy Halo for the MP. For me at least, the campaign is where the party is at. Campaign with some co-op action with friends.
So I’m ridiculously excited about the prospect of all my Halo titles getting 4K treatment. But that isn’t all 343 is going to do with the title. Besides the upgraded visuals, the Halo studio has promised to fix all the multiplayer issues of the game to date. Because of the nature of this beast, 343 will be releasing the updates iteratively instead of one big update like other games. They are truly committed to releasing a perfectly working product this time around. And honestly, I can’t wait to jump back into the entire collection running in beautiful “True 4K”. Unfortunately no HDR support at launch. The official release date of the MCC 4K patch is yet to be revealed. Stay tuned to SkyGamers and we’ll be dropping more Halo news as we get it.
