In more shocking news, Bethesda’s DOOM is also getting a Nintendo Switch release. You know the game! The one that involves shooting demons from hell. Yep, that will also be on Switch.
We were blown away by Bethesda’s announcement of Wolfenstein 2 heading to the Switch, now we’re getting a double whammy! Arguably last year’s best First Person Shooter is also getting a release on Nintendo’s console. Get locked, loaded and prepare to throw yourself into the depths of hell. I’m talking, of cause, about DOOM. And now you’ll be eviscerating demons on the go too. Ripping and tearing your way through the entire single player campaign.
What if you want to take your action online? Good news, Bethesda confirmed that for those who want the multiplayer component, it will be available to download separately from the main game. As for the user created Snap Map, that unfortunately won’t be making it to the Switch. None the less, it is quite a pleasant surprise. The game will be releasing on Nintendo Switch this holiday season. With Bethesda throwing their mighty franchises at the Ninty console, it’s only a matter of time that other studios follow the trend. Sure it might take a bit of work to the games working adequately on the console, but if Bethesda can do it with IDTech 6, anyone can do it right?
