A small team of fans has come together to create an Unreal Engine 4 powered Tomb Raider 2 fan remake. It looks absolutely stunning. They’ve even released a demo for you guys to try.
It always blows my mind when fans who are passionate about a video game decide to come together and recreate a classic game for the modern generation. More so when the said group does the whole project out of their own pockets and in their own time. That’s the case here with Tomb Raider 2 Fan remake. The game is titled Tomb Raider The Dagger of Xian. It is entirely rebuilt using the power of the Unreal Engine 4. Once you see it, you will not believe your eyes. Everything we loved about Tomb Raider 2 is brought back to today sporting all the visual do-dads that we love in modern day games. Lara still retains her form but has so much more texture detail. It’s really impressive work from Nicobass and his small team.
The best part of this story is that they’ve made 1-hour long demo available for everyone to try out. A quick peek at the System Requirements and it seems the game will be able to run on a majority of PCs. In other words, you don’t need a monster gaming rig to enjoy this wonderful gem. Here are the minimum system specs below.
