DOOM was in my humble opinion, the very best FPS of 2016. It has without a doubt the best campaign of any FPS in recent time. A true return to form for the Grand daddy of FPS. Fast forward to 2017, and the game is still carrying some steam. The campaign is endlessly replayable. Not to mention the really awesome Arcade mode. Multiplayer is fun, but about the only weak link on this otherwise perfect game. Now though, Id Software has dropped the news that will give you a reason to head straight back into the multiplayer. All the DOOM Multiplayer DLC will be completely free for all players with Update 6.66. That means you’ll get access to all the demons, armour and maps from Unto The Evil, Hell Followed and Bloodfall.
Id Software has also made some tweaks to the Multiplayer progression. Instead of getting Random unlocks, gamers will get a new system similar to Call of Duty’s style of progression. Don’t fret though as all you’re already unlocked gear will remain with you. Or you can choose to Nuke it and start fresh. Hack Modules get the Axe and will be replaced by Runes. Runes are now equipable items which you can add to your loadout. All in all, this is a pretty hefty Update and one that will be favourable to DOOM MP players.
