Focus Home Interactive has dropped a fresh new The Surge combat trailer.  So if you looking to get a detailed look into the game’s combat mechanics, step into my office and let’s have a peek.

The Surge Combat trailer has dropped giving gamers an in-depth look at the game’s combat mechanics.  The game seems to have a rather interesting combat system.  Yes, we’ve all heard it’s a Sci-fi themed Dark Souls game (I might have even made the same comparisons myself), but when you see this game in action, that couldn’t be further from the truth.  For example, players make use of a Vertical and Horizontal attack strikes.  The devs explain that you would use these attack methods to dismember your foe and then loot from the detached limb.  In other words, chop off an enemy’s leg and get leg augments for your Exo suit.

Positioning and speed are of utmost importance in the game’s combat.  The catch is that your enemies can do exactly the same things you can.  So be warned.  Not to mention the all important Stamina meter which if you deplete can leave you vulnerable to attack.  Kinda like Dark Souls (darn it, I did it again).  But I’m just scratching the surface of a rather deep fighting mechanic.  To get the lowdown, you should probably take a peek at the combat trailer below.  The Surge launches on the 16th May 2017 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.  Enjoy the trailer.
