This could very well be the PlayStation VR killer app we’ve all been waiting for. Feast your eyes on the Farpoint Story Trailer. Spoiler Alert! It’s surprisingly actually pretty darn good.
PSVR is selling fairly well. However, it’s still lacking some seriously good games. Don’t get me wrong, there are some mildly entertaining experiences out there, but none of them really feel like a full fledged game. Excluding the phenomenal Resident Evil 7 of cause. Enter Farpoint. A game that was designed from the ground up with FPS VR in mind. Not to mention the especially interesting AIM controller that’s suppose to give you the best possible FPS experience in VR. It’s been reported that Farpoint has now gone Gold and to celebrate this momentous occasion the team behind the game has dropped a rather good Farpoint Story Trailer.
In the game, you are stranded on an unknown planet that’s infested by hostile Spider-like creatures after a scientific expedition to Jupiter goes horribly wrong. You must explore this strange new world and try and survive long enough to find your way to your team and ultimately home. It’s a pretty basic concept that strangely looks like it will work. This game could very well be that system seller Sony has been waiting for. Farpoint releases exclusively on PS4 for PS VR on the 16th May 2017. Enjoy the trailer below.
